Gabby is a Lecturer in Colorectal & Stoma Care Nursing at UEA, Norwich, and module organiser for the level 7 online Advanced Stoma Care module, developed in close collaboration with ASCN (UK). Gabby is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and her teaching and research interests are largely based around qualitative research and colorectal surgical care. Gabby is a Trustee of the Bowel Disease Research Foundation, Deputy Chair of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain & Ireland (ACPGBI) Nurse’s group (ACPN) and nurse representative on the ACPGBI Research & Audit Committee. She has been a stoma care specialist nurse for 22 years and continues to work clinically in stoma care for two days each month.
